Take Your Measurement

Neck Measurement

Place tape around neck at the level the shirt's collar would be buttoned. Place two fingers between the neck and tape and make sure the tape is snug, but moves freely.

Chest Width Measurement

Locate the arm crease. The arm crease is the "line" where the arm joins the body. To visualize this "line", imagine a doll's arm attached to the body.

Measure the chest width, from arm crease to arm crease.

Waist Measurement

Place tape around gentleman's waist at the level of his navel. This is the height at which formal trousers are worn. Make sure tape is snug but can move freely.

Back Length Measurement

Measure from the boney protrusion at the back of neck, down the spine to the waist.

Be sure to give an exact measurement, being careful not to add any additional length to the measurement.

Sleeve Measurement

With your arm slightly bent to your side, measure from the center of your back at the base of the neck, over the point of the elbow, down the outside of the arm to the wrist.

Be sure to give an exact measurement, being careful not to add any additional length to the measurement. Do not use clothing label sizes for any measurements as they will almost assuredly be incorrect.

Hip Measurement

Place tape around the broadest part of the gentleman's hips. Make sure the tape is snug but can move freely.

Inseam Measurement

There are two different potenial inseam measurements required, depending on whether you are ordering trousers or breeches.

For trousers, measure from the height of the crotch seam to the desired pant length at the ankle. It is sometimes easier to take this measurement down the back of the leg, holding the top of the tape measure at the level of the crotch seam and measuring down to the back of the foot.

For breeches, measure from the crotch seam level to approximately two (2) inches below the kneecap. Do not use clothing label sizes for any measurements as they will almost assuredly be incorrect.

Glove Measurement

When ordering gloves, measure around the hand at the fullest portion of the palm.

For hand size: Order glove size:
7" to 8" Small
8" to 9" Medium
9" to 10" Large
10" to 11" Extra Large
